New CCNP certification Exam - How its different from the previous one.

New Cisco CCNP Certification exams are the professional level certifications exam which is now will be more easy to attempt.

The previous CCNP certification exams were available in 7 different tracks which were R&S, Security, Data Center, collaboration, Design, Service provider, and wireless with 3 years of validity. To attempt this certification exam, first you need to pass the CCNA exam in the respective track and then go for professional certification.

But now in the new model we have,

Tracks:

The new Cisco CCNP certification exams has only 5 tracks with them and they are,

1. Enterprise
2. Security
3. Collaboration
4. Data Center and
5. Service Provider

Prerequisites:

The new Cisco CCNP certification exams has no prerequisites in them i.e you can directly attempt CCNP certification exams without even passing CCNA.

Validity:

Validity of the new Cisco CCNP certification exam is of 3 years.

Introduction to the Core and the Concentration exam in the new Cisco CCNP certifications

Core Exam:

Like CCIE, CCNP are now achieved after passing two certified exams in which the first part is Core examination.

For 5 different tracks, there are 5 different core exams.

1. For Enterprise - 300 - 401 ENCOR
2. For Collaboration - 300 - 801 CLCOR
3. For Data Center - 300 - 601 DCCOR
4. For Security - 300 - 701 SCOR
5. For Service Provider - 300 - 501 SPCOR

Concentration Exam:

After passing core examination in respective track, you become eligible to attempt Concentration exam.

300 - 435 ENAUTO - Automating and Programming Cisco Enterprise Solutions

300 - 715 SISE - Implementing and Configuring Cisco Identity Services Engine
